Lisa Bella Donna signs an absolutely magnificent album with two grandiose musical pieces in which the musician shows us all her mastery of her Moog and ARP synthesizers. Masterful, an astonishing and surprising but resolutely magical album!

About "Hypnosis"
An album of electro-acoustic compositions
for 4-Channel Tape recorder.
"On the week of my birthday this October, a special friend and I took a few days away together out to a secret cottage in the deep woods...
I setup a 4-Channel reel to reel recording studio to compose and record in this warm & rustic space. Nothing but beautiful views of the cascading autumn all around. A truly memorable and inspiring time to create in.
Scents and sounds...
Fireside phantoms and astral starlight...
Sunsets haunting all along hallowed grounds...
A far away journey, full of many mysteries and stories evoked from the autumn equinox. The whispering incantations of falling leaves.
Eminent, swirling thunderstorms cast spells and warnings, chimes of fears and dreams pass onward through the electric night.
Black masses in covens held in haunted chapels. Enigmatic voids...
Mesmerized, witnessing malignant, mental funerals in the mortuaries of the mind. Ones own transcendental mirage unraveling through the tapestries of astral planes. Past life transfiguration of time through the tramontane of natures grace. Secret mountain hollows offer solace from the unseen. Forests of understanding & pentacles of prism.
Awakening to rivers and dawns of crystal silence...
The grace & warmth of loves understanding and grace...
Forests of October falling as the sun ascending pure...
Reborn and renewed by sensual gowns of eternal light...
Raw and sometimes unforgiving.
I do hope it's eerie inhabitants inspire you in some way.
There's something about this one that holds very dear to me.
As if there were hidden messages in the ornamental analog artifacts...
October daughters dreaming, engulfed in a witches sabbath....
My endless gratitude too those who take each of these musical journeys with me. Every unfolding chapter. There's always so much to discover and learn from music and the constellations of its sound all around us.
My everlasting gratitude to all of the wonderful listeners who
have kindly supported these recordings. Thank you."

Every track on this compilation is excellent. They all have an overarching "meditative progressive synthesizer landscape" vibe, but it's very stylistically diverse. It's exceptional for deep concentration. Highly recommended. Nick Suda
If I wanted to point someone to Steve Roach's music, I'd start them here. This record spans some of Roach's signature styles, like the percolating synths in "Currents of Compassion", the dreamy abstraction of "Prometheus Passage", the tribal rhythms of "The Gone Place", and the elegiac majesty of "What Remains". It's stunning all around and guaranteed to make any day better. fyeahmetal
This album will grow on you. Listen in headphones or earbuds. It will blow your mind. Steve has so many amazing textures and dimensions on this release. It's hard to pick a favorite track. Probably in his top 5, if there is such a thing. 53Guitarman
